Biography

Previously, Jim was Executive Vice President at Johnston Associates, LLC, overseeing public  policy and government relations initiatives for a diverse portfolio of non-profit clients also held multiple senior leadership roles at the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools (MAAPS), including Director of External Affairs and Director of Government Affairs and Communications. In these roles, he advocated for approved private special education schools, advanced legislative and regulatory priorities, and built awareness of special education needs and outcomes across Massachusetts.

Earlier in his career, Jim held a variety of positions in government and political organizations, including Field Director for a statewide ballot initiative, Legislative Affairs Liaison at the Massachusetts School Building Authority, and Regional Field Director for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. He also served as Legislative Researcher, Legislative Aide, Senior Account Manager, and Executive Assistant in roles focused on drafting legislation, managing public policy initiatives, and coordinating government and community relations across Massachusetts.
