Adam Marx, Esq.

Adam served as Vice President of Government Relations for the North Region at Steward Health Care, where he oversaw state and local advocacy efforts on behalf of 12 high public-payer hospitals across Massachusetts, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In this role, he provided strategic counsel on a broad range of policy and regulatory matters, including Medicaid reimbursement, regulatory strategies to optimize service delivery, and legislative advocacy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously, Adam held government relations roles at Beth Israel Lahey Health and Mass General Brigham. At Beth Israel Lahey Health, he led the regulatory and public affairs strategy for a complex, multi-system corporate affiliation, securing favorable reviews from four separate state and federal regulatory agencies.

Earlier in his career, Adam served as Associate General Counsel in the Regulatory Practice Group, where he managed matters related to healthcare safety and quality. He also served as a Legislative Assistant to Speaker Ronald Mariano, where he helped develop and secure passage of landmark healthcare legislation, including Massachusetts’ 2012 health care cost containment law.

Adam held several leadership and advisory roles within the healthcare policy community. He served as Chair of the Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals Government Relations Committee and was a member of the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association Standing Committee on Public Affairs. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.
